Pablo Maffeo: Javier Aguirre is an excellent coach who has always given us plenty of support and trust.

Valencia defender Pablo Maffeo gave an interview to the club's news program, in which he discussed his renewed collaboration with Mexico coach Javier Aguirre.

Pablo Maffeo said, "He's a very passionate coach who always knows what he wants, but at the same time, he's also a very easy person to get along with. He's very approachable, and there's a reason he's had such a successful coaching career. He often told us, 'You should be the same way you are in training as you are in a match.'"

"He is an excellent coach who is good at discovering the strengths of each player and enabling them to complement each other well within the team. He helped me through a very difficult period in my life and has always given us enough trust and motivation to perform at our best. If he notices that you are having any problems off the field, he will also take the initiative to communicate with you."

“Whether you get a lot or a little playing time, he needs your help, and he has made that very clear to us. He values the whole team because as long as everyone is united, many difficulties will be easier to overcome. He does have high expectations for the players, but it's all for the good of him. At the same time, he also values building personal connections with the players, so as players, we are willing to give more for him.”

"He has been through all sorts of different situations and knows very well what we really need right now. During his time at Mallorca, we will never forget the dressing room speech he gave us at the Ramon Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium when we were in a very difficult situation."

“We are now playing for Valencia, and we have also encountered many difficulties this season. But we believe that we can change the situation, and no one in the club doubts this. The most admirable thing about Javier Aguirre is that he always knows how to say the right thing at the right time.”

“I know very well that I can’t assume I’ll get playing time easily just because he coached me at Mallorca. I have to earn my place through my performance, just like he did when he gave me that opportunity at Mallorca. I still crave playing time and will give it my all like any other player.”

"This is the first time I've experienced such a long international break, so we have had ample time to adapt to his tactical requirements. The team is in very good form right now, which is evident from the expressions on everyone's faces. Everyone is full of fighting spirit, in a much better mood, and the atmosphere of the whole team is completely different from before."

"It all started with the head coach, with his repeated speeches to us. Even the young players in the team showed a very positive attitude, and this atmosphere will ultimately drive each of us to keep improving."
