Morgan Rodgers praised Kane as a unique player.

England defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 in the fourth round of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League group stage, thanks to an own goal and two goals from Harry Kane. Morgan Rodgers stated that playing alongside Kane was relatively easy and praised the striker as a unique player.

In the 27th minute, Kane delivered a cross from the right wing, and Czech defender Chofal inadvertently slid the ball into his own net while attempting to clear it, giving England a 1-0 lead.

In the 40th minute, Morgan Rodgers crossed from the right wing into the box, where Kane seized the opportunity to slot the ball home, extending England's lead over the Czech Republic to 2-0. In the 57th minute of the second half, Lewis Hall took a corner, and Kane, despite the defense, headed the ball into the net, making it 3-0 for England.

England ultimately secured a resounding 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium. With their third consecutive win, England sits second in Group C with 9 points, their prospects for advancing looking promising.

England midfielder Morgan Rodgers said, "It gets tough when the opposition plays a low press and tries to get us into trouble. But we played very well and created a lot of threats. We created chances and got into their box a lot, and we stayed calm when we had to take them."

“Our captain Kane just does what he does best and keeps scoring. When you pass the ball to him, you know he’s going to score. It’s probably easier to provide assists for him than for others. I just need to do my job, and he performs at the highest standard, so he’s a unique player.”

Morgan Rodgers pointed out, "We want to play aggressively, with high intensity and pressure, and also be tough in physical duels. This style really suits me, and I enjoy playing for this team. I feel that my strengths can be maximized, and the most important thing is that we all agree on this style of play."

“We experienced a disappointing moment at the World Cup, so I think this training camp is very important for us. Now, we are in a very good phase.”

It is worth mentioning that Kane, 33, has equaled the record of legendary Peter Shilton with 125 appearances for the England national team, becoming the player with the most appearances in England's history.

In an interview, Kane said, "We have embraced this philosophy of play and know what kind of football we want to play. We all know that being eliminated in the World Cup semi-finals was disappointing, so this training camp is very important for us. We need to rediscover the style of play we know best and are most proficient in, and at the same time, we need to prove to the top teams that we are fully capable of playing our own way."

“Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but ultimately we must stick to the style of play that suits us, and we did that during this training camp. No matter who the opponent is, it won’t change.”

Kane also said, "We play our best when we're aggressive and able to win back possession in the attacking third. I'm in great form right now and I'm very happy to be able to push myself to the limit."

"Last season was fantastic, and the start of the new season has been great. The most important thing now is to maintain consistency. That's the key to success at this level of competition."
