AC Milan have extended Pavlovic's contract until 2031, with an option to extend for another year.

AC Milan announced on Thursday that they have extended the contract of Strasina Pavlovic. The new contract will run from 2028 to June 30, 2031, with an option to extend for another year.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pavlovic's annual salary will increase significantly from €1.7 million to €3 million after the contract extension.

The 25-year-old Pavlovic primarily plays as a center-back. He made his first-team debut for his parent club Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian Super League on February 23, 2019. He subsequently played for Monaco, Club Brugge, Basel, and Red Bull Salzburg before joining AC Milan in July 2024 for a transfer fee of €18.5 million.

To date, Pavlovic has made 80 appearances for AC Milan, contributing 7 goals and 4 assists. His most notable achievement at Milan is undoubtedly winning the 2024/25 Italian Super Cup with the team.

At the national team level, Pavlovic has made 59 appearances for Serbia to date. Since making his national team debut in September 2020, he has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist, and participated in the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship.

After completing the contract extension, Pavlovic excitedly said: "I feel incredibly proud and happy, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the head coach and management. I am very happy to be here, and I hope that everything will continue to be good in the future. In this way, we can wear the red and black jersey and play more exciting games."

“I’ve changed a lot since leaving Salzburg. I’ve been here for two years now and am in my third season with Milan. As a player, I feel I’ve grown a lot.”

“Playing for Milan is a completely different experience. First of all, the pressure is different from anything I’ve experienced before. As a top club, its goals are also different. The season when we all lifted the trophy together was my most perfect year at Milan. This is also the biggest dream that every Milan player can have.”

“Playing for AC Milan is both a huge responsibility and a great honor. I try my best to face everything with that: to keep improving every day, just like all the great stars who have ever worn the Milan jersey.”
