Counter Strike 2: cmtry and siuhy officially joins Astralis..

Danish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) esports organization Astralis announced on Wednesday via its official X (formerly Twitter) account that former FUT player cmtry and former Liquid In-Game Leader siuhy have officially joined the team.

According to Astralis' official statement, their additions have prompted shifts in the roles of other team members. Effective immediately, the organization is parting ways with its former In-Game Leader, HooXi, and rifler, jabbi.

Although HooXi and jabbi, whose contracts were originally set to expire at the end of this year, will conclude their journeys with the organization, everyone at the organization expressed its sincere gratitude for their contributions and hard work during their time with the team.

Taking examples from football and basketball, Astralis noted that even teams like Real Madrid, following multiple UEFA Champions League title wins, and the Los Angeles Lakers, who fielded several NBA Finals championship-caliber rosters throughout the 20th century, underwent continuous evolution. This serves as a reminder that sustained success requires ongoing change.

The organization hopes that this roster adjustment will usher in a new, glorious chapter for Astralis as one of the most successful clubs in the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) esports scene.

This announcement confirms recent reports from HLTV.

As previously leaked, cmtry will transition to a rifler role upon joining Astralis.

At the time of writing, both cmtry and siuhy have already made their debut alongside their new teammates in the opening match of Stake Pulse Beat III.

Astralis secured a strong start in this Group C match, defeating Sashi, a team that has also recently experienced roster instability, with a 2-0 victory.

With the addition of cmtry and siuhy, the new active roster for Astralis is as follows:

In-Game Leader: siuhy

AWP-er: phzy

Rifler: ryu

Rifler: cmtry

Rifler: Staehr

Head Coach: NEO
