Real Madrid legendary defender Dani Carvajal officially moves to local rivals Getafe..

Getafe announced on their official website on Tuesday that local rivals Real Madrid's former captain, legendary Spain international right-back Dani Carvajal has joined the club on a free transfer.

According to Getafe's official statement, Carvajal has signed on a short-term eight-month deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.

Additionally, reports from Relevo's resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Matteo Moretto indicate that after leaving Real Madrid, Carvajal’s primary preference was to remain in Europe, specifically playing for clubs competing in European competitions this season.

Consequently, online rumours alleging that he had agreed to join Al-Nassr or Inter Miami are entirely unfounded.

About Dani Carvajal

The 34-year-old Carvajal was born on January 11, 1992, in Leganés, Spain. He is 1.73 meters tall and primarily plays as a right-back but can also play as a center-back.

During his time with Die Werkself, his outstanding performances earned him second place in the voting for the Bundesliga's Right-Back of the Year.

The following July, Carvajal returned to Real Madrid for a fee of €6.5 million.

Since returning to Real Madrid, Carvajal has made 451 appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions, scored 14 goals and provided 65 assists.
