The highly anticipated match of Day 4, Week 1 of the first round of the 2026 KPL Summer Split regular season has concluded. Chongqing Wolves hosted Shenzhen DYG, and the two teams engaged in fierce competition, showcasing their tactical prowess. Ultimately, Chongqing Wolves secured a 3-1 victory thanks to superior teamwork and decisive decision-making at crucial moments, earning both the win and points for the first week.  


The MVP of this match was awarded to Chongqing Wolves' Daozai (Yang Kaibo), who delivered an outstanding performance as Chicha. He made crucial contributions in several key team fights and in controlling the tempo of the game, becoming a key factor in the team's victory.  


In the early stages of the match, both sides focused on resource management. In the 4th minute, the Chongqing Wolves secured the first Tyrant, establishing a tempo advantage. Then, at 4 minutes and 40 seconds, Chongqing Wolves player Daozai (Yang Kaibo), playing Chicha, seized an opportunity, flashing and tower diving to solo kill Jiang Ziya, creating a breakthrough for his team during the laning phase.  


As the game progressed into the mid-game, Shenzhen DYG adjusted their rhythm and launched a counterattack. In the 6th minute, Shenzhen DYG player Fang Yu (Deng Jiayu), controlling Jing, used his ultimate skill to precisely engage and kill Chi Tu. Subsequently, both sides engaged in multiple skirmishes around resource points. At 8 minutes and 50 seconds, DYG focused fire and killed Charlotte first, but Wolves quickly organized a counterattack and killed Jing, ultimately ending the engagement with a 2-for-1 trade.  


At 10 minutes and 20 seconds, Shenzhen DYG player Fang Yu (Deng Jiayu), controlling Jing, once again exerted his strength, completing a double kill and helping his team achieve a one-for-two exchange, bringing the game into a more intense mid-game phase. Then, at the 12-minute mark, Chongqing Wolves player Zi Huan (Huang Guangshun), playing Yang Yuhuan, used a key skill to achieve a counter-kill against Marco Polo. His team then secured the Shadow Tyrant, while DYG exchanged for the Shadow Lord, maintaining a tense and even balance in terms of economy and tempo.  


The turning point of the match occurred around the 14-minute mark. At 14 minutes and 20 seconds, the Chongqing Wolves focused their fire on Kuang Tie, then pursued and secured a 3-for-0 team fight victory. 30 seconds later, Chongqing Wolves player Daozai (Yang Kaibo) decisively initiated a team fight with his Chi Tuo, and Chongqing Wolves player Wanwan (Du Yuanhang)'s Nezha achieved a double kill, giving the Wolves complete dominance in the team fight.  


Ultimately, the Chongqing Wolves wiped out their opponents and pushed forward, taking the crystal and securing the victory, defeating Shenzhen DYG 3-1. The game saw numerous shifts in pace, but the Wolves' decision-making and execution in crucial team fights proved to be key factors in their win.
