Jalen Clark signed a 3-year, $10 million contract extension with the Timberwolves, having previously led the team to the Western Conference Finals.

According to Chris Hein of the Minnesota Star Tribune, Jalen Clark has signed a three-year, $10 million contract extension with the Timberwolves.

The 24-year-old Clark plays shooting guard and was selected by the Timberwolves in the second round, 53rd overall pick, in 2023. To date, he has played 108 regular season games for the Timberwolves, averaging 4.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists, and 0.8 steals in 13.1 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 44.5%, a three-point percentage of 36.2%, and a free throw percentage of 70.2%.

Clark also participated in two consecutive playoffs with the team, averaging 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. His most glorious moment in the playoffs was undoubtedly leading the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals in the 2024/25 season.

For the Timberwolves, re-signing Clark was primarily aimed at improving the team's bench depth at the wing position. The Timberwolves firmly believe that Clark has the ability to limit the opponent's key scorer, and that his presence will greatly reduce the defensive burden on Jaden McDaniels.

The Timberwolves also hope that Clark can work with LaMelo Ball next season and improve their offensive performance under his leadership.
