The Jazz signed Okogie to a two-year, $12 million contract.

July 5th - According to ESPN , the Utah Jazz have reached a two-year, $ 12 million contract with free agent Josh Okogie .

 

Okogie received offers from several teams before signing with the Jazz, and the final decision was made by his agent, Calvin Andrews of Klutch Sports Group .

 

The 27- year-old Okogie played for the Houston Rockets last season, averaging 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. He improved his three-point shooting percentage to 38.5% last season , demonstrating a certain outside shooting ability. His catch-and-shoot percentage reached 41.2% , and he set a single-season record of 78 games played.

 

Throughout his career, Okogie has averaged 6.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. The Jazz value his perimeter defense, ability to switch on multiple positions, and open three-point shooting, hoping he can provide consistent defensive support and rotation depth for their young roster.
