The third day of the group stage of the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup (EWC) has concluded. The standings for Groups A, B, C, and D are beginning to take shape, with the top team in each group demonstrating overwhelming dominance.
In Group A, Team Falcons broke the previous stalemate of three teams tied. On the third day, they swept GamerLegion 2-0, improving their record to 5 wins and 1 loss, taking sole possession of the top spot in Group A.
Xtreme Gaming and BetBoom Team, who were originally tied, were held to draws by weaker opponents in their group, allowing Falcons to widen the points gap and take the initiative in qualifying.
Group B is a two-horse race. Nigma Galaxy pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament on Day 3, defeating Team Liquid 2-0. Player SumaiL delivered a near-perfect performance with extremely high kill counts and very low death counts in both games.
After this match, Nigma Galaxy and Aurora Gaming both have a record of 5 wins and 1 loss, continuing to tie for first place in Group B. The two teams will fight hard for the only direct qualification spot for the playoffs.
The top teams in Groups C and D maintain their perfect records. PARIVISION, after sweeping REKONIX 2-0 in Group C, extended their record to 6 wins and 0 losses, firmly holding first place in Group C and in an excellent position to directly qualify for the playoffs.
Team 1w in Group D also performed strongly, defeating LGD Gaming 2-0 to take the top spot in Group D with a 6-0 record. They will face their biggest challenger in the group, Team Yandex, who currently have a 5-1 record, on the fifth day. This match will determine the direct qualification spots for the next round from Group D.
