Lewis Dobbin admitted that the team still has room for improvement, and the preseason can help everyone regain their competitive form.

Southampton's new signing Lewis Dobby said he was very happy to make his debut for the team and help them win in the preseason friendlies. The summer signing made his Saints debut in a 3-1 away win against Eastley in their first preseason match. He admitted that the start of the preseason often demands a high level of physical fitness, but getting playing time is crucial for preparing for the new season.

After the game, Lewis Dobbin said, "I feel great. Preseason debuts are usually tough, but I'm in great shape and I'm really happy to have played my first game. I think I've integrated into the team smoothly, thanks in no small part to my teammates. They gave me a very warm welcome and helped me adjust to the locker room environment quickly, so everything is going very well so far."

As he gradually integrates into Southampton, Lewis Dobing is also working hard to understand head coach Toda Ekert's tactical requirements. He stated that he is still in the learning phase and has many details to master, but the manager's strict requirements on tactical details will help him continuously improve.

Lewis Dobbin said: "Over the past week, I've attended several team tactical meetings and needed to learn and understand a lot of new things, but the overall process has been very positive. The head coach has given me a lot of patience and support. As a new player, I still need time to familiarize myself with the tactical system, but his explanations are very clear, and his high standards for the details of the game will help me improve. I believe I can master these requirements as soon as possible and integrate better into the team."

"The most important thing about the first preseason game is to get everyone back into shape and find their rhythm. However, it's also important to start the preparation process with a win, as this can help the team build confidence. We showed a lot of positives today, but we also identified some areas for improvement. There are still many games to come, and hopefully we can continue to grow."
