Manchester City defender Vitor Reis said in an interview that he learned a lot and gained more experience during his loan spell at Girona.
The 20-year-old Vitor Reis was loaned to Girona from Manchester City last August and made 36 appearances in the 2025/26 La Liga season, contributing one goal and one assist for Girona.
Vitor Reis said, "This experience has been very helpful to me because I was able to consistently get playing time in a very competitive and high-level league. Being able to play consistently makes a huge difference, and I feel that I have made great progress throughout the season."
"When playing against top players like Vinicius, Yamal, Mbappe, and Bellingham, you have to maintain the highest level of focus at all times. It is these kinds of matches that have helped me grow to a new level."
Vitor Reis also stated, "The Premier League places more emphasis on physicality and intensity, while La Liga focuses more on technical and tactical aspects. These are two completely different styles of football, but without a doubt, both the Premier League and La Liga are among the most competitive leagues in the world."
In addition, following Guardiola's departure, Maresca was appointed as Manchester City's new manager at the end of June. Maresca had previously served as an assistant coach under Guardiola.
Vitor Reis said, "Marisca is an excellent coach with a wealth of football knowledge, and I look forward to working with him."
"Manchester City has a very strong squad and many top players. I learned a lot during my first time playing for Manchester City."
Vitor Reis added, "Especially Diaz, he has always given me a lot of encouragement. And Haaland, he is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in football."
