Ngumoha must seize any opportunity to shoot if he finds even a little space.

Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory over Wrexham in a friendly match thanks to a goal from Ngumoha , continuing their winning streak into the new season. Ngumoha stated that they should seize any opportunity to shoot, even the smallest one, in the penalty area .

During the match against Wrexham, Ngumoha received the ball, broke into the penalty area, and fired a shot. The ball deflected off an opposing player and into the net, giving Liverpool a 1-0 lead.

Liverpool striker Ngumoha, 17, said, "I don't know how to describe it, the process of this goal was a bit complicated. But as long as you dare to shoot, you have a chance to score. So, of course I have to take the credit for this goal."

“All my teammates treat me like a real first-team player. Although I am still young and have a lot to learn, every teammate has given me a lot of help, and this experience has been really great. In the penalty area, as long as you can find even the slightest space, you must seize the opportunity to shoot."

In the 2025/26 season, Ngumoha, a product of Liverpool's youth academy, made 19 appearances for the "Reds" in the Premier League, contributing two goals and one assist.

Ngumoha said, "After last season ended, my biggest goal was to play more games and get more starting opportunities. For everyone, the arrival of a new coach represents a new beginning, so these games are the best opportunity to show myself to the coach. This is very important, and I enjoy it very much."

When asked about coach Andoni Iraola's expectations of him, Ngumoha said, "First and foremost, it's about high pressing. We want to apply pressure aggressively in the attacking third, and if we can win a duel, we need to attack at full speed. If we get a one-on-one opportunity, we should boldly break through. If there's no space, we should pass back or continue to organize the attack. Of course, scoring goals and providing assists are also areas I need to work on improving."
