Brazilian midfielder André Santos: "Joining Manchester United feels like coming home."

In Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in a preseason friendly, 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos, a new signing, once again displayed excellent form.

Since his transfer from Chelsea to Manchester United this summer, Santos has made appearances in all four preseason matches, quickly winning over Manchester United fans with his solid performances.

Since Casemiro's departure, Santos has demonstrated strong control in midfield and an extremely high passing accuracy. In this match against Champions League defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, he not only contributed crucial defensive plays in the first half but also nearly scored a header.

In a post-match interview, Santos expressed his enjoyment of the new environment: "I feel very comfortable. This is my home now. I've felt at home since day one, and I'm very happy to be here and to perform well."

Although they unfortunately failed to win, Manchester United dominated in shots on target, 7 to 3. Speaking about the match and upcoming preparations, Santos said, "That's football. I think we played better in the first half and created a lot of chances."

"The preseason was tough, but we've definitely been improving. The focus now is always on the next game; we need to recover well and be ready for the match against Leeds United."

As planned, Manchester United will travel to Ireland to continue preparations for the 2026-27 season, after which they will face Leeds United and AC Milan.
