Donnarumma was pleased with the fighting spirit shown by Italy.

Mancini's Italy drew 1-1 with Bastoni in the third round of the UEFA Nations League group stage, after conceding a goal to Olise. Italian goalkeeper Donnarumma expressed his delight at the team's fighting spirit and urged senior players to support their younger teammates both on and off the field.

In the 55th minute of the second half, Laryan Sergiu took a free kick, and Olise, positioned at the edge of the penalty area, fired a long-range shot into the net, giving France a 1-0 lead. In the 68th minute, Dacuña made a mistake while receiving the ball, allowing Bastoni to regain possession and break into the penalty area before slotting the ball home, leveling the score at 1-1 for Italy.

Ultimately, Italy held France to a 1-1 draw at the Stade de France.

Manchester City's Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma said, "Not every team comes here and can play so well. France is an extraordinary team, and I'm very pleased that we remained united even when we had to play a low press. I was very sad after the game against Belgium because losing always hurts me. But this is the beginning of a long journey, and I know we might experience defeats."

“I am very pleased with the team’s performance so far. We came here with a very positive attitude. Bastoni’s goal was the result of his forward runs and active pressure when the opponent had possession, and that is the attitude a strong team should have.”

Donnarumma also said, "I'm in good form right now, I'm calm, and I made some good saves in this game. But what makes me happiest is that I helped the team, and the whole team performed very well."

“Young players must be given the opportunity to make mistakes, because only in this way can they gain experience and mature. We, the more experienced players, will do our best to help them on and off the field, making them realize how important it is to give 100% effort in every training session.”
