David Alaba: I've always been interested in Serie A, which is one of the reasons I chose Udinese.

Udinese held a press conference for their new signing, David Alaba, at the Estádio do Laszlo auditorium. Alaba gave his first media interview as a Udinese player, accompanied by club general manager Franco Colavino, group technical director Gianluca Nani, and sporting director Gokhan Inler.

After the press conference began, club general manager Franco Colavino gave the opening remarks, saying, "We don't really need to introduce David Alaba much. He has an extremely rich resume of honors, having played for some of the world's top and most prestigious clubs, and has long been a key player for the Austrian national team."

"From the perspective of Udinese's general manager, I would like to share two points. First, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to David Alaba. He is now part of a club with a 130-year history, and Udinese is one of the oldest professional football clubs in Italy, second only to the number one club. We are rooted in the local community while continuously expanding our international vision, actively promoting innovation and sustainable development, and always adhering to the unique characteristics of our club."

"Secondly, I want to talk about something David Alaba himself emphasized. He joined Udinese not to revisit past achievements, but to integrate into the current team and become an important member. He has great ability, and we hope he can play a key role in the game, help the team win, and pass on his winning mentality and pursuit of higher standards to the players with great potential in the team."

David Alaba then made his official appearance and shared his thoughts, saying, "I am very grateful for the warm welcome I have received. I feel like I am back home. Before deciding to join, I gave myself ample time to consider, and as the days went by, I became more and more convinced that Udinese is the best decision I have made at this stage of my career."

“I am in good physical condition and ready to play. I started team training last week and everything is going well. As of now, I am very satisfied with my physical condition.”

“I’ve spoken with the head coach over the past few weeks. My main position in recent years has been center-back, which I feel best suits my strengths and allows me to fully showcase my abilities. Of course, I can also play other positions, such as midfield, if the team needs me. I’ve always been able to flexibly adjust my position according to the team’s needs.”

"After joining the team, my most important goal is to do my best to help the team. Of course, if I had to say which position I can contribute to the team the most, I think it would be center back."

With years of experience in top leagues and high-level matches, David Alaba also has the opportunity to help his younger teammates develop at Udinese. He said, "Being a 'big brother' in the team is nothing new to me; it's not the first time I've taken on this role. I'm someone who's willing to take responsibility. In the Austrian national team, I was one of the more experienced players, and I had similar experiences playing for Bayern Munich and Real Madrid."

“I understand my own strengths and I know exactly what experience I have that can help the team. I hope to share this experience with my teammates and contribute to the team as a whole.”

“Serie A has always been very attractive to me, which is one of the important reasons that led me to choose Udinese. It is one of the best leagues in Europe, and I am very much looking forward to being a part of it. Udinese is a club with a rich history, having played in Serie A for a long time. I knew about the team beforehand and had talked to some friends and players who are currently playing or have played here in Italy. After careful consideration, I finally made this decision.”

“I really like Udinese. It’s a small city, but very beautiful, and I’ve had the chance to walk around the city center. The club’s facilities are satisfactory, and I’ve felt a great atmosphere from everyone I’ve met.”

“I’ve watched the team’s recent matches and I can see that the team has become quite competitive, but there are still many areas for improvement. Next, we must translate our performance on the field into actual points, while gradually building a stronger belief to ultimately help the team achieve victory.”
