Osasuna announced on Monday that Luis Miguel Ramis has been dismissed as head coach, effective immediately. His coaching staff will also be leaving, including assistant coaches José Manuel Gil and Ivan Maderonho, fitness coach Miguel Ángel Fernández, and tactical analyst José Fajardo.
The 56-year-old Ramis spent many years developing Real Madrid's youth academy and has an intimate knowledge of local young talents. He has also coached several Spanish teams, including Almería, Albacete, Tenerife, Espanyol, and Burgos.
In July of this year, Ramis officially succeeded Alessio Lich as Osasuna's head coach. Under his leadership, Osasuna currently sits in 16th place in La Liga with a record of 2 wins, 2 draws, and 4 losses, accumulating 8 points.
Following Ramis's dismissal, Osasuna quickly brought back Yagba Alazart, who had left the club two years prior, to take over the reins. The two sides signed a three-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.
The 48-year-old Arrasat previously managed Osasuna for six years, during which time he achieved a record of 104 wins, 63 draws, and 90 losses. His most notable achievement at Osasuna was undoubtedly leading the team to the 2022/23 Copa del Rey final.
Besides Osasuna, Arrasate also left his mark at El Goibar, Real Sociedad, Numancia, and Real Mallorca. He has been unemployed since being dismissed by Mallorca in February of this year.
