Dplus KIA wins the 2026 League of Legends Esports World Cup.

In the 2026 League of Legends Esports World Cup (EWC) finals, Dplus KIA from the Korean LCK region defeated Karmine Corp from the French LEC region 3-0 to win the championship.

In this tournament, Dplus KIA eliminated strong opponents Bilibili Gaming (BLG) and Gen.G to advance to the finals. In the finals against the dark horse Karmine Corp, Dplus KIA maintained the advantage throughout.

In the first game, Dplus KIA relied on ShowMaker's Viktor and Smash's Kai'Sa to control the overall situation, and won the first game with a kill count of 16 to 9 in the 31st minute.

In the second game, the two sides were tied in the early and mid-game. Dplus KIA won the team fight at the Baron pit and secured the victory. In the 33rd minute, they won the second game with a kill count of 18 to 8, taking the match point.

In the third game, Dplus KIA displayed strong dominance from the start, completely restricting Karmine Corp's development. In just 27 minutes, they destroyed the opponent's crystal with a kill count of 23 to 5, completing a clean sweep.

This is the first international tournament victory for Dplus KIA and player ShowMaker since 2020. Player Smash was named MVP of the finals for his outstanding performance. With this victory, Dplus KIA won a $600,000 prize, while runner-up Karmine Corp received $340,000.
