Harvey Simmons, who is in good recovery, hopes to help Tottenham return to the top.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Javi Simons recently stated in an interview that he is currently recovering well from his injury and is looking to help the "Lilywhites" return to their peak form.

In the 2025/26 Premier League season, Javi Simmons contributed two goals and five assists for Tottenham Hotspur, while in the Champions League he scored three goals and provided one assist.

However, in an away game against Wolves in April, 23-year-old Harvey Simmons suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, requiring a long period of rest and recovery after surgery.

Speaking about the difficult recovery process after the surgery, Harvey Simmons said, "The first four days after the surgery were the worst days of my life. I couldn't sleep at all, and I couldn't eat for a week. I was in excruciating pain, constantly vomiting and dizzy, and I experienced almost every terrible side effect. I really don't want anyone to go through that kind of pain."

“I don’t know how the other players feel, but for me, it’s like my whole body is asking, ‘What’s going on?’ That’s how it is, but right now I’m happy and in a good state. I’m with my family, and we’ve worked hard together. They’ve been there for me through a lot over the past 10 weeks. Since week 2, everything has been going very well.”

Harvey Simmons shared, "Fortunately, the club has always been there for me. As my body gradually recovers, we've been able to try different training methods and progress step by step in my rehabilitation."

“Every time I walk into the gym, all I think about is becoming stronger and becoming a better version of myself. Training with this motivation every day makes me feel very fulfilled and constantly gives me the strength to move forward.”
