Newcastle United officially announced the signing of Osman Diabate.

Newcastle United have officially confirmed the signing of young midfielder Osman Diabate. The 18-year-old previously played for Turkish Super League side Genklebilirgi. While Diabate is now a Newcastle United player, he will not be moving to England immediately but will remain on loan at Genklebilirgi for the entire 2026/27 season.  

Osman Diabate's career took a significant turn in December 2025 when he left the SOAR Academy in Guinea to embark on a new football journey in Turkey. After arriving in Genklebilirgi, the young player made his debut last season, appearing in the Turkish Super League and the Turkish Cup, totaling seven appearances.  

With his continuously improving individual performance, Osman Diabate has gradually come under the scrutiny of several European clubs. His growth was particularly evident last season, culminating in a significant breakthrough at the national team level. In a friendly match against Northern Ireland in June, Osman Diabate made his Guinean national team debut at Windsor Park.
