Liverpool center-back Jérémy Jacquet strained his left hamstring..

Prominent independent Liverpool team correspondent Jack Lusby reported exclusively via This Is Anfield, the news site run by Liverpool's official UK fan group, that France international center-back Jérémy Jacquet has become the third player to sustain an injury during the current international break, having unfortunately strained his left hamstring.

According to Lusby’s report, Jacquet, who was slated to play in France's UEFA Nations League match against Belgium on Monday, felt discomfort and muscle tightness in his left leg during a pre-match training session, team medical staff immediately arranged for an assessment of his injury.

Initial evaluations revealed that Jacquet had strained his left hamsttring. While the injury is not considered extremely severe, it is expected to sideline him for a month.

Jacquet has since returned to Liverpool under arrangements made by the French Football Federation, and the club will organize his treatment as soon as possible. He joins forwards Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak as the third player to suffer an injury during this international break.

Jacquet had featured in France's first two matches, earning high praise from the national team's new head coach, Zinedine Zidane, for his outstanding performances.

This weekend, Liverpool will face Manchester City, who was recently found guilty of 114 Premier League financial rule breaches.

The Reds will undoubtedly be looking to capitalize on their momentum and inflict a nightmare result upon the Cityzens, whose reputation has been severely tarnished.
