Brazilian esports club Keyd Stars confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that it is officially withdrawing from the CS2 scene effective immediately.
Keyd Stars entered the CS scene in February 2015 and has since focused on South American tournaments. Their greatest achievements to date include finishing as runners-up in the first season of ESL ESEA North America and winning the 9th stop of the CCT Season 3 South American Series.
In a statement released on the X platform, Keyd Stars said, "Between 2025 and 2026, we are committed to building and developing the CS2 esports landscape, closely monitoring the evolution of the project, and striving to create a competitive system commensurate with our glorious history."
"Given the recent changes in the domestic competitive landscape, business environment, and regulatory environment, we have had to reassess our existing plans. After careful consideration, we have decided to suspend the CS2 project and instead explore new development opportunities."
"We sincerely thank all the players, coaches, and professionals who participated in this journey. Every member defended our team uniform and community honor on the field with dedication, professionalism, and tireless efforts. We wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors."
"Thank you for everything you've done, warriors."
