Pulisic breaks goal drought, expresses willingness to stay, and hopes to get more playing time.

U.S. international winger Christian Pulisic made it clear during a fan event at the San Siro store that he is eager to stay at AC Milan, and contract renewal negotiations between the two sides are progressing smoothly.

Pulisic had previously experienced a slump, failing to score in the first few months of 2026. It wasn't until September 20th, in AC Milan's 3-0 victory over Lecce, that he scored his first club goal of the year.

Speaking about the crucial goal, Pulisic said he felt a huge sense of relief: "Scoring the goal really put me at ease. I haven't scored for Milan in a long time, and it feels wonderful to break this goal drought."

Pulisic missed the national team's warm-up matches due to a leg fracture he suffered in the World Cup match against Belgium this summer, and was a substitute in the first three rounds of Serie A in the early stages of his recovery. However, he quickly regained trust with his performances, providing an assist in the draw against Lazio as a substitute, and then starting and scoring against Lecce.

Pulisic admitted that he needed to adjust his mentality after recovering from injury: "It was a bit of an adjustment for me at the beginning of the season, and obviously I was always eager to play. It's not that I was angry, but playing is always my instinct. Considering that I've only been out of injury for a short time, I feel great physically now and hope to play more games."

AC Milan welcomes Ruben Amorim as their new manager for the new season. Pulisic spoke highly of the partnership between the manager and players: "The first few months working with him have been very pleasant, and I am gaining a deeper understanding of his tactical system. So far, we are getting along well, and I am enjoying this time."

Pulisic's contract expires at the end of this season (the club has a one-year extension option), and it is understood that AC Milan intends to extend his contract until 2031.

When asked about the future, Pulisic responded with a smile: "I can only say that I am very happy in Milan right now, and I am happy in the near future. I haven't deliberately thought about the specific details of the contract extension, but I want to stay in Milan."
