After completing his current national team duties, Maximilian Mittelstädter gave an exclusive interview to the club's television channel, sharing his feelings about the past two weeks with the German national team and also looking ahead to Stuttgart's upcoming packed schedule.
German national team players are gradually returning to the squad, with Maximilian Mittelstädter also rejoining the Stuttgart team. The 29-year-old left-back made his debut for Germany last Thursday in Munich, marking his return to the national team since September 2025. Germany ultimately won 2-0 against Serbia, with Mittelstädter contributing an assist and being involved in the team's second goal.
Maximilian Mittelstädter said: "I am very happy to wear the German national team jersey again. This training camp was both interesting and fulfilling for me. We faced Serbia and Greece and performed well in both matches. We were able to quickly regain possession after losing the ball and showed a lot of satisfactory teamwork."
The defender has recently rejoined the team and resumed training with them at the Stuttgart training ground. He said, "It's great to be back with the team. When you're away for a week or two, you naturally miss your teammates. Now we hope to bring the positive emotions and energy we gained while representing the national team back to the club."
The coming weeks will be a busy period for Stuttgart, with the team playing seven matches across three competitions before the end of October, five of which will be away games. First, they will face Paderborn away in the Bundesliga this Saturday.
Maximilian Mittelstädter added: "This game is very important for us. It will be the start of this busy schedule, and we certainly hope to get 3 points. Everyone is looking forward to the game, and we will give it our all on the field."
