Official: Arsenal and 44-year-old manager Mikel Arteta's contract expires in June 2030.

Arsenal announced on Wednesday that manager Mikel Arteta has signed a contract extension. The new contract extends his contract by three years, from its original expiry date next summer, to June 30, 2030.

The 44-year-old Arteta previously served as Pep Guardiola's assistant coach at Manchester City before officially taking over from Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium in December 2019. As a prominent representative of Spain's young coaching generation, he has led his teams to a record of 224 wins, 60 draws, and 76 losses across all competitions, winning one Premier League title, one FA Cup, and three Community Shields.

Regarding Arteta's decision to remain in his position, Arsenal co-chairmen Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke commented: "It has been an incredible journey so far. We are very excited about the future of this special relationship. Last season was an extraordinary moment in Arsenal's history, and together we created unforgettable memories. We are determined to create many more similar moments in the years to come."

“We have a special bond with Mikel. We are incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished since he returned to the club in 2019.”

“He deeply understands Arsenal’s values and keeps them in mind. He knows what the club means to everyone involved and is committed to building on what we have achieved together.”

Arsenal Chief Executive Richard Galic added: “This is a significant moment in Arsenal’s history. We look forward to a winning era with Mikel. We will continue to work together to achieve the club’s and fans’ long-term vision.”

“Mikel has unwavering conviction and determination, and knows how to build an extraordinary and lasting business. We are delighted to continue working with him.”

Arteta said: "I am honored to entrust my future to the club and to continue working with outstanding people who are dedicated to achieving great things for Arsenal. This club is unique, including its personality and the feeling it gives you. I am very honored to continue working with everyone."

“We have forged a special bond and created unforgettable memories. Most excitingly, this is just the beginning of our shared achievements. I am very grateful for the trust and support of Stan and Josh, and I am honored to lead the club through such a special period in its 140-year history.”

"This is an incredibly proud moment for me and my family. I feel the love and respect from the fans, and the whole team and I will reciprocate with the same sentiment."
