Denver Nuggets waived Lonnie Walker IV and Pedro Bradshaw..

The Denver Nuggets announced on their official website on Wednesday that the team has waived shooting guards Lonnie Walker IV and Pedro Bradshaw.

According to Spotrac, the Nuggets’ intention was always to assign Bradshaw to their G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold. Consequently, the team waived him immediately after signing him.

Walker IV had joined the team for the preseason on a non-guaranteed contract, meaning he could be waived by the Nuggets at any time.

In two pre-season appearances, Walker IV logged a total of just 18 minutes. During that span, he recorded 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists, shooting 1-of-8 from the field, including 1-of-4 from three-point range.

Following his release by the Nuggets, Walker IV is expected to return to play in Europe.

The 27-year-old Lonnie Walker IV has spent the last few years moving back and forth between the NBA and the European basketball circuit.

He spent the majority of the past two seasons in the EuroLeague, playing for Žalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv, before earning an opportunity to return to the NBA with the Nuggets.

Walker IV was the 18th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and spent the first four seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs.

Since then, he has had stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Philadelphia 76ers, and also participated briefly in a training camp with the Boston Celtics.

Pedro Bradshaw, 28, was selected 10th overall in the 2021 NBA G League Draft, joining the affiliate of the Utah Jazz.

Later that same year, following his release, he moved on to join the G League affiliate of the Miami Heat. Subsequently, Bradshaw joined the G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, before concluding his G League campaign within the Indiana Pacers' organization.

Prior to the start of the 2024/2025 season, Bradshaw left the NBA to continue his career in Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL).

In February of this year, he moved to Germany to join the Rostock Seawolves of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). In August, he was selected to represent the United States during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers.
