Fiorentina have officially announced that Fabio Grosso will become the first-team head coach, signing a contract until June 2028.


Fiorentina Football Club has officially confirmed that Fabio Grosso will serve as the head coach of the first team, signing a contract until June 30, 2028. Born in Rome on November 28, 1977, the coach began his coaching career in 2013 within Juventus' youth academy and took charge of the senior team for the first time in 2017 as head coach of Bari.  

 

In his coaching career, Fabio Grosso has managed several teams, including Lyon, Frosinone, and Sassuolo. He twice led his teams to promotion from Serie B to Serie A, and most recently guided Sassuolo to an 11th place finish in Serie A.  

 

Fiorentina warmly welcomes Fabio Grosso to the club, praising his professionalism, innovative thinking, and boundless enthusiasm. Club President Giuseppe Commisso stated, "We are delighted to welcome Fabio Grosso to Fiorentina. He is not only a World Cup winner but also a coach who has built his career through continuous effort, his coaching philosophy, and his achievements. He possesses the ability to lead teams and has extensive experience in handling significant challenges."

New head coach Fabio Grosso also shared his thoughts, saying, "I want to thank everyone at the club, especially President Commisso and his mother Catherine, for the trust and responsibility they have placed in me in managing Fiorentina. It's an exciting challenge to come to a club with such a long history. There are passionate fans here, and it's a city that loves football."
