England captain Harry Kane is expected to renew his contract and remain at Bayern Munich.

Despite recent reports of interest from La Liga giants Barcelona, England captain Harry Kane still prefers to sign a contract extension with Bayern Munich and remain with the Bundesliga club.

According to reports, Barcelona had been exploring the financial feasibility of signing the prolific striker. However, Sky Sports News points out that Kane and his family are very happy in Munich.

Although Kane has only one year left on his contract, both Bayern Munich and the player himself maintain a relaxed attitude towards the situation. Since Kane is currently fully focused on the World Cup, any substantial progress regarding his future will not be revealed until after the tournament.

In the recently concluded 2025-26 season, Kane delivered an absolutely perfect performance. In 51 appearances for Bayern Munich, he scored 61 goals and provided 7 assists, helping the team win the German Super Cup, Bundesliga, and German Cup trophies.

Kane also won his second European Golden Shoe with this performance, becoming one of the few players in history to win the award multiple times. In football history, only Cristiano Ronaldo (2014-15 season) had previously achieved this club goal tally in a single season across all competitions.

In England's final group stage match against Panama at the World Cup, Kane scored again, bringing his total goals for club and country this season to 70.
