Atletico Madrid right-back Molina has officially joined Roma on a four-year contract.

Roma announced on Wednesday the signing of Atletico Madrid right-back Navel Molina. The two sides signed a four-year contract, valid until June 30, 2030.

The official confirmation also states that Molina will wear the number 20 jersey for Roma. His transfer fee is estimated at €13 million, plus €4 million in performance-related bonuses.

Molina, 28, came through the Boca Juniors youth academy and made his professional debut for the Argentine Primera División on February 18, 2016. He subsequently played for Deportivo La Coruña, Rosario Central, and Udinese, where he gained extensive Serie A experience.

In July 2022, Molina transferred from Udinese to Atletico Madrid for €20 million. To date, he has made 181 appearances for Atletico Madrid, scoring 9 goals and providing 17 assists.

Molina also made 65 appearances for the Argentine national team, including two Copa America tournaments (2021, 2024), one European and American Cup (2022), and two World Cups (2022, 2026). He has scored one goal and provided five assists to date, and won two Copa America titles, one European and American Cup title, and one World Cup title with the team.

After completing the transfer, Molina stated through Roma's official channels: "First of all, I want to greet everyone. I felt very welcome from the very beginning, and I am very happy. I want to thank the coach and the club, who were very eager for me to join Roma."
