Bradley Beal signed a two-year, $13.2 million contract extension with the Clippers

According to reporter Shams Charania, free agent Bradley Beal has agreed to a two-year, $13.2 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 32-year-old Beal is a three-time NBA All-Star shooting guard who has averaged 21.4 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in his career. Before last season, Beal joined the Clippers on a pay cut after reaching a buyout agreement with the Phoenix Suns, aiming to prove himself again alongside Leonard and Harden.

However, Beal's Clippers debut season was extremely bumpy, plagued by knee and back injuries from the start. To make matters worse, he suffered a severe hip fracture in a game against his former team, the Suns, forcing him to undergo surgery and ending his season prematurely.

Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank revealed that Beal's hip injury was a rare acute trauma, comparable in severity to a car accident. After a long post-operative recovery, Beal declined his $5.6 million player option for the 2025-26 season and ultimately returned to the Clippers with this new contract.

Although Beal has played no more than 53 games in any of the last six seasons, when healthy he still possesses excellent three-tiered offensive firepower and can play a key role in pick-and-rolls, off-ball cuts, and weak-side spot-up shooting.

The Clippers' management hopes that Beal can overcome his injury woes and deliver a significant offensive boost to the team with minimal risk, while reducing his ball-handling and workload.
