Liverpool legend Divock Origi announced his retirement at the age of 31.

Belgian international striker and Liverpool legend Divock Origi released a statement on Monday confirming the end of his 13-year professional career, effective immediately. He has been unemployed since being released by AC Milan in December 2025.
The 31-year-old Origi came through the Genk youth academy and made his professional debut for Lille in Ligue 1 on February 3, 2013. He subsequently played for Liverpool, Wolfsburg, AC Milan, Nottingham Forest, and other clubs, and made his final appearance on April 21, 2024.
According to Transfermarkt, Origi made 371 club appearances, scoring 70 goals and providing 28 assists. His most representative achievements are undoubtedly winning the Champions League, Club World Cup, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and EFL Cup with Liverpool.
Origi also made 32 appearances for the Belgian national team, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.
In his retirement statement, Origi wrote: "As a player, my football mission is complete."
