Wabanjama missed a crucial free throw, and the Spurs lost to the Knicks by 1 point.

June 11 - According to the Associated Press, the San Antonio Spurs were overtaken by the New York Knicks after leading by as many as 29 points, ultimately losing 106-107.

As the team's core player, Victor Wahlbanama contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds, but his crucial turnovers in the final stages of the game became the focus. With 1 minute and 47 seconds left in the game, the Spurs led by one point, and Wahlbanama had two free throw opportunities, but missed both. The Knicks then scored consecutive points, and finally won the game with a putback by OG Anunoby with 1.2 seconds left.

When asked about missing the crucial free throw, Wenbanyama said after the game, "It was just a shot. You can spend a lot of time practicing, but in a game, you still have to do it like you normally would."

The Spurs led 81-52 at one point in the game. However, the Knicks unleashed a furious 55-25 run in the second half, setting a new record for the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. Wernbanyama scored only 8 points in the second half, failing to help his team stabilize the situation.

Despite the grim situation, Wenban Yama remains confident: "There are only two possible outcomes. The worst is giving up, the best is that we become stronger and more united. I know we will choose the latter."
