Towards the end of Season 43, solo queue supports advised against relying on teammates, and healing champions never tied to teammates: Cai Wenji's perspective.

Parasitic supports are a common problem in the Rift, especially for summoners with a princess-like personality. They are opportunistic, leaving when things don't go their way, and chasing after the jungler all the way from the bottom lane to the top lane when they want to fight. Even though they aren't tied to anyone, the lone wolf marksman is vulnerable at this point and becomes easier to kill.
Being a lackey or assistant isn't easy; you have to be mindful of others' moods.
If you're resentful, then you'll interfere with other lanes, steal the mid lane, steal jungle monsters, and the whole team will suffer. You can imagine that the support's words and actions will create a domino effect. Sticking to a marksman who may not even be useful 24/7 will make the others feel unbalanced. The duo strategy fails, and both of you feed kills. How would you feel in a 3v5 situation?
Enchanter supports are often disliked, frequently relegated to the backline to cast spells. This triggers another conflict: in the absence of a frontline, players constantly harass and verbally abuse enchanter supports, unaware of their role and failing to appreciate their advantages until the enemy team escapes. Considering all factors, towards the end of Season 43, if you're solo queuing, it's recommended to choose a champion that maximizes team fight contribution, such as Cai Wenji.
Cai Wenji is not a bound support character.
In ranked matches, my awareness and skill level haven't yet reached the peak level, so there are no restrictions. Ignoring tank/support roles, her ultimate provides area-of-effect healing at lightning speed, earning her the nickname "mobile fountain." She heals while absorbing damage, giving teammates peace of mind. Her win rate is quite high, reaching 52.35%. Her core strength lies in her synergy with teammates, but she's not a rigid, fixed synergy. The marksman isn't her primary support target; even if she moves to another position, she can still keep up with the pace and perform exceptionally well. Her single-target healing is negligible, and her area-of-effect healing is even easier. Her role in team fights is expanded, and her healing is consistent. Not playing her as a synergy partner or participating in team fights would be a waste of her potential.
Compared to Yao and Doriya, Cai Wenji is actually easier to play. There are no complicated operation details. If you want to play her, you can master her. Just make good use of the trigger conditions. You only need to know when to use small skills to save lives and when to use the ultimate skill to heal. Many players randomly click on the skills, not knowing that the attribute of the ultimate skill is to first restore the most health to the teammate with the lowest health.
