Steve Clarke extends his contract with the Scotland national team until 2030.

Steve Clark, 62, has officially renewed his contract with the Scottish national team and will lead the "Highland Warriors" to the 2023 World Cup.

In the previous World Cup qualifiers in Europe, Scotland successfully qualified for the World Cup finals with a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, returning to the World Cup stage after 28 years.

In addition, the Scottish national team previously announced its squad for the 2026 World Cup, which includes veteran players such as captain Robertson, McTominay, and McGinn.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke said, "I am honored to lead this team in its first World Cup in 28 years, and I am proud to continue as the national team manager. I know that Scottish fans appreciate the team's achievement of qualifying for two consecutive European Championships, and I also believe that after such a long wait, the nation is overjoyed that we have qualified for the 2026 World Cup."

"Looking to the future and making long-term plans is very important. Although my players will give their all at this summer's World Cup and hope to bring glory to the country through outstanding performances, it is equally important to confirm the future direction before the tournament begins. We know that we can continue to build on the existing foundation, and it is an honor for me to continue in this position."

In addition, Scotland will play friendly matches against Curaçao and Bolivia before embarking on their World Cup campaign.

Steve Clarke also stated, "Constancy is key to success in football, and this has been demonstrated in my seven years of coaching experience. We must continue to improve and evolve. I look forward to working with the new Chief Football Officer, Craig Malholland, to develop more outstanding talent through the national youth teams at all levels and to continuously supply talent to the senior teams."

"Currently, all our attention is focused on preparations for the World Cup, and that will begin with this week's match against Curaçao."
