The Scottish Football Association announced today that Steve Clarke has been officially inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame. Clarke said that being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a huge honor and that the team's achievements are due to everyone's efforts.
In the previous World Cup qualifiers in Europe, Scotland successfully qualified for the World Cup finals with a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, returning to the World Cup stage after 28 years.
The Scottish national team previously announced its squad for the 2026 World Cup, and veteran players such as captain Robertson, McTominay, and McGinn are all included in the lineup.
In addition, Steve Clark recently extended his contract with the Scottish national team until 2030 and will lead the "Highland Warriors" to the 2030 World Cup.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke said, "I am deeply honored to be inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame. Especially when I see the legends who have been inducted before, they have all made extremely positive contributions to the development of Scottish football."
“Individual awards and honors should always come after team achievements, and I am very proud of the achievements of all the players and coaching staff, past and present. We have successfully led Scotland back to the international stage, after waiting on the sidelines for far too long.”
Steve Clark also stated, "These people have given everything to this team, and everyone can see the positive impact it has had on the nation. Therefore, this honor belongs not only to me, but to each and every one of them."
In addition, Scotland will begin their preparations for the World Cup with two friendly matches against Curaçao and Bolivia.
