Is Flash only for newbies? Choosing the wrong Summoner Spell exposes your weaknesses; beware of being looked down upon by pros: Marksman Edition

Many marksman players in the Rift don't really know how to use summoner spells effectively. They rely on Flash to dominate the game, and even with multiple dashes, they still can't feel completely safe. They'd rather sacrifice some resources to increase their margin for error than learn to let go of muscle memory and choose a different option to strengthen the mechanics.

One dash with Flash is understandable, but what about squishy heroes with two or more dashes? Take Marco Polo, for example. Everyone knows he has double resistance and double dashes. He usually brings stun to ensure his ultimate skill isn't interrupted, keeping the enemy in place and taking all the bullets. This is why the Marco-Yao combination works. Yao attaches to him to provide a shield, keeping up with Marco's agile rhythm. The ball knocks back the enemy for a few seconds, stabilizing the hit rate of his ultimate skill. It's a perfect match. Stun is for chasing, so what use is Flash?

Gongsun Li, with three or more dashes, relies entirely on her skills for escaping or chasing. While her stats in Season 43 might not be strong enough, her superior skill can still raise her potential. She doesn't need Flash at all; Purify enhances her survivability, and Berserk speed allows her to quickly stack her passive mark for explosive damage. Her strong early-game laning ability far surpasses the effect of a Flash that's just for show. Given her emphasis on quick reflexes, does this mean she should use Flash to avoid ambushes? Perhaps it's better to abandon Gongsun Li and switch to a more passive marksman; there's no need to go through the trouble of playing a dash-based marksman.
