Genoa Football Club officially announced that Ethan Mechtri has officially joined the team.

Genoa FC has officially announced the signing of young midfielder Ethan Mechtri, who has joined from Swiss club Thun on a permanent transfer. Born on July 8, 2005, Mechtri is currently a member of the Swiss U21 national team, having made 7 appearances and scored 1 goal.

In the 2025/26 season, Ethan Mechtri gradually developed into a key player for Thun, playing a crucial role in the team's Swiss Super League title win. He contributed 8 goals and 3 assists in 35 appearances, quickly emerging as a promising young talent in the league. After joining Genoa, Ethan Mechtri successfully completed his medical examination and went to the club's headquarters to meet with management, subsequently signing a long-term agreement.
