In the semifinals of the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup (EWC), a highly anticipated match was staged, dubbed the "finals played in advance."
Eastern European powerhouse PARIVISION, with their near-suffocating dominance in the laning phase, defeated their regional rivals Team Yandex 2-1 to advance to the grand finals.
Throughout the semifinals, PARIVISION showcased their terrifying early-game dominance. In the first game, PARIVISION drafted a strong engage composition with Tiny and Ember Spirit, completely disrupting Yandex's mid-game rhythm during the laning phase. Their star player, Satanic, racked up a perfect 10 kills and 9 assists, leading his team to a swift victory in the first game with a dominant 28-9 kill score within 31 minutes.
Although Yandex managed to win the second game in a grueling 65-minute battle thanks to their solid positional warfare lineup, the decisive game once again became a tactical lesson for PARIVISION. In the third game, PARIVISION's tactical approach was clear. Noticed, playing Axe, perfectly targeted Yandex's core player Watson's development in the early game and frequently created opportunities in the mid-game, cooperating with No[o]ne's Invoker to precisely finish off enemies with "Skyfire".
After the Druids were able to develop without pressure and reach their full potential, PARIVISION forced their opponents to concede in just 37 minutes, with Noticed racking up MVP-caliber stats of 12 kills and 14 assists.
Following this match, on Sunday, PARIVISION will face BetBoom Team in a best-of-five showdown. The winner will not only take home the top prize of $750,000, but will also be the number one favorite to challenge for the Aegis of Champions at The International 2026.
