Wimbledon and Yamaba face difficulties; Spurs prepare for Game 3 with undiminished confidence.

June 8th - According to ESPN, despite trailing the New York Knicks 0-2 in the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs remain highly confident and are preparing for Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Only five teams in NBA history have ever come back from a 0-2 deficit in the Finals to win the series, the most recent being the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. The Spurs firmly believe they have the opportunity to become the sixth team to accomplish this feat.

Key player Victor Wenbanyama stated that the key to facing the current situation is to accept reality and stay focused. "I accept my current situation, I accept what I'm doing. This is the stage I've always wanted, there's no need to overthink it," he said.

In the first two games, the Spurs lost at crucial moments. In the second game, they were defeated by Brunson's free throws with 9.5 seconds left due to turnovers and fouls; in the first game, they were overturned by the Knicks' 11-0 run in the final quarter.

Wenbanyama also admitted that the team still needs to improve in handling crucial moments, but emphasized that these losses will be important lessons. "We didn't put in a lot of effort in vain, we learned something, and we just need to make those lessons work in the next game."

Head coach Mitch Johnson also emphasized that the team needs to rediscover the level of play shown in the regular season and the first three rounds of the playoffs. "We put in a lot of effort, but we didn't translate that effort into wins. We need to improve our discipline and execution in crucial moments."
