In the ESL Pro League Season 24 finals, French esports club Vitality swept MOUZ 3-0 to win the championship, becoming the first team in the history of the event to lift the championship trophy four times.
Vitality held a clear advantage in their previous encounters, but MOUZ had only lost one map before the finals, showing excellent form. However, the finals turned into a one-sided affair.
The first map, Cache, is Vitality's traditionally strong map. Their star player, ZywOo, achieved a high rating of 2.00, leading the team to an easy 13-8 victory in the first game. The second map was Inferno, where MOUZ had been undefeated for nearly three months. Relying on the duo performance of ZywOo and flameZ, Vitality forced a 13-7 victory, taking a 2-0 lead and reaching match point.
The decisive game, Dust2, was the most closely contested. MOUZ took an early 5-1 lead, but Vitality steadied themselves after a timeout, closing the gap to 5-7 at halftime. After the break, MOUZ reached match point at 12-9. However, Vitality held their nerve, winning three consecutive points to force overtime, and went on a winning streak in overtime to seal the victory at 16-12, completing the comeback.
After this match, Vitality finished the finals without losing a single map, once again proving their dominance over MOUZ, and also achieving a new team achievement of winning their fourth ESL Pro League championship.
